The Scent of a Woman | A Female Portrait Exhibition by Maksymilian Ławrynowicz

On September 25th, the walls of Hala Koszyki hosted a truly special vernissage — the opening of the exhibition “The Scent of a Woman” by Maksymilian Ławrynowicz, marking the eleventh edition of his original series #ProjektKobiety.

This Polish-French exhibition is a visual journey through portraits of women who have left their mark on the history of perfumery. It tells the story of muses, goddesses, and creators — women who broke through male dominance with talent, courage, and vision. Among the heroines are historical and contemporary figures, literary and mythical ones — captured through gestures, glances, and compositions that carry fragrance, symbolism, and strength.

The premiere was accompanied by an extraordinary event — the fashion show of Angelika Józefczyk’s mini collection “Club de Paris”, designed especially for the vernissage. The collection was the result of a creative collaboration between the designer and photographer, who also took on the role of creative director for the show. The photographer’s muses themselves appeared as models, embodying the heroines of his works.

The looks were completed with handbags and shoes by Ryłko, perfectly matching the Parisian character of the collection. French berets and hats from the Polish-French atelier Le Szapo added a touch of subtle elegance. Kérastase and Pierre René provided the makeup and hairstyling, while the models walked the runway to the rhythm of a signature French DJ set by Mia Twin, which beautifully complemented the atmosphere of the evening.

“The Scent of a Woman” is more than just an exhibition – it’s a tribute to feminine strength, beauty, and passion. A story of senses, art, and courage that came together in one place – in the heart of Hala Koszyki. The exhibition is open until October 21st on the mezzanine (Level +1). You’re invited!
