"What Went Wrong?" Actors Captured by Paulina Holtz at Hala Koszyki

Maria Seweryn, Weronika Książkiewicz, Magdalena Stużyńska, or Łukasz Garlicki? A Photographic Exhibition by Paulina Holtz at Hala Koszyki

Photographs of 12 actors “fulfilling” their childhood dreams are the focus of the photography exhibition “What Went Wrong?” by Paulina Holtz. The exhibition is open until August 20 at Hala Koszyki, with free admission.

What connects Magdalena Stużyńska to space? Did Łukasz Garlicki dream of being a cowboy or a construction worker? And where did Weronika Książkiewicz find the makeup she used on her grandmother’s friends?

Beautifully composed photographs reveal the stories behind the public personas of film and theater stars. The collection, created by actress Paulina Holtz, portrays childhood moments of well-known actors before they entered the world of cinema, sharing their youthful aspirations and what in their lives… “went wrong.” Holtz shares her passion for capturing what is meaningful and aesthetically significant in her photography.

“Bringing artistic work into natural spaces and presenting it where it can reach everyone is important to nearly every artist. That’s why Hala Koszyki seems like the obvious place. Visitors can see actors in childhood roles and learn about their personal stories,” says Piotr Krowicki, Marketing Manager of Hala Koszyki.

Paulina Holtz has been passionate about photography for several years. She has twice received the title of Photographer of the Year in the Fujifilm X Series competition. Her work has been featured in exhibitions such as A Year in the Lenses of Polish Women Photographers, the Wojnowo Festival, and in Żyrardów. Her photographs have also appeared in publications like Pani Magazine and Newsweek. More of her work can be found at www.paulinaholtz.pl.
