One of the world's most famous operas at Hala Koszyki!
On Saturday, April 9, the space of Warsaw’s Hala Koszyki will resound with one of master Giacomo Puccini’s most famous pieces – an intimate version of the opera “La Bohème.” The stage will feature an international cast of artists who will come to Warsaw especially for two unique performances at Koszyki. Admission to the event is free.
During the one-hour performance, the artists will transport us to the extraordinary world of opera and the beautiful music of Puccini, performed by outstanding singers accompanied by a piano. The opera is set in Paris around 1830, and the audience will follow scenes from the life of the French artistic bohemian. The main plot of the opera revolves around two love stories – Rodolfo (Yuri Sabatini) and Mimì (Danae Eleni), as well as Musetta (Anna Koźlakiewicz) and Marcello (John-Andrew Fernandez). The role of artistic director for the event has been taken on by the Ukrainian pianist Natalya Gaponenko.
Hala Koszyki invites you to two performances on Saturday, April 9th at 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM on the mezzanine.
The event is created in collaboration with the Julian Cochran Foundation – a non-governmental organization that has been promoting classical music within the premises of Hala Koszyki for the past four years.
