Join us for a hip-hop edition of the Pavilion! 🎧

LUMBAGO is a Polish musical duo formed by acclaimed musicians: bassist Paweł Stachowiak (also known as Wuja HZG) and drummer Tymek Papior. Their shared passion for music at the intersection of jazz, electronic, and hip-hop led to the creation of a project focused on live performance and resistant to easy categorization.

In May 2024, the duo released their debut album titled “LUMBAGO LP.” The material for the album was recorded in just three hours in a home studio, resulting in an experimental fusion of diverse musical styles. The album features guest appearances from notable saxophonists Marek Pospieszalski and Kacper Krupa, adding even more depth to the sound.

During the upcoming Music Pavilion, LUMBAGO will deliver an energetic concert full of improvisation and unexpected sonic blends. Their performances offer a unique opportunity to experience the freshness and originality of the Polish music scene live.

Muzyczny Pawilon is a concert series dedicated to showcasing fresh and interesting voices from the worlds of alternative pop, hip-hop, urban sounds, and the new wave of Polish jazz.

The program is curated by Kuba Więcek — a saxophonist, music producer, and laureate of numerous prestigious awards such as Paszport Polityki, Fryderyk, Onet’s Olśnienia, and Mateusz Trójki. A graduate of the Copenhagen Conservatory of Music, Kuba is known for his ability to move effortlessly between styles, finding unexpected meeting points between them. He’s the founder of the band hoshii, and has released three original albums as part of the iconic Polish Jazz series. The American magazine DownBeat lists him among musicians who could shape the future sound of jazz. Kuba is also the composer of the original score for Krzysztof Skonieczny’s film “Wrooklyn Zoo”. Concerts take place in the Pawilon space on the first floor of Hala Koszyki, held twice a month on Sundays.
