We invite you to the IN LOVE WITH PORTUGAL exhibition by photographer Kat Piwecka! 

On the mezzanine of Hala Koszyki we are to exhibit the photographs of Kat Piwecka, a Polish photographer in love with Portugal who divides her life between the two countries. Her ‘In Love with Portugal’ album has been sold throughout the world.

The exhibition will be a selection from over 50,000 pictures that the photographer took on her Portuguese journey. They show the most beautiful places in Portugal’s five main regions: the Algarve, Alentejo, Lisboa, Centro and Norte. The photographs were taken over what amounted to an almost ten-year period of work on her photography album of the same name. The exhibition itself first opened in Vale Furado, one of her most beloved places in Portugal.

 During the showing, you will be able to meet the photographer, buy a signed copy of the album and hear her stories and anecdotes collected over the period of almost ten years when she was photographing this beautiful country. The exhibition is currently on a two-year tour of Poland and Portugal.

 Kat Piwecka is a photographer of the stars and a travel journalist. She has run her own successful photography studio since 2009. She has a characteristic style that is simple and minimalistic, black-and-white with people in the foreground where emotions and relationships are clearly shown for which she has become recognised both by Polish and international stars.

 After ten years of work, she published ‘Portraits 2020’, an exclusive album with portraits of the stars and inspiring people. As a travel journalist, she has written for numerous Polish media outlets including Onet.pl, Business Insider Polska, Imperium Kobiet, Law Business Quality and Oh!me, and since January 2021 she has been writing for the Portuguese website Sapo.pt. Many years ago, she found a second home in Portugal, which has resulted in the ‘In love with Portugal’ album. She supports young photographers through her own photographic workshops and mentors them individually through private consultations. She is the author of a handbook for photographers, the first in Poland, entitled ‘From photographing my family to photographing the stars – the secret of my success.

The exhibition is to be held over a one-month period from 17th September 2022 to 17th October 2022.
