IGNACY | Muzyczny Pawilon 2.0
IGNACY is one of the most talked-about debut artists of recent years.
He captured listeners’ hearts almost instantly — a momentum reflected in his participation in the Spotify Radar program. His music is defined by deep artistic sensitivity and lyrics that explore the doubts and longings of his generation.
His track “Czekam na znak” quickly achieved double platinum status and was nominated for a Fryderyk Award 2023. IGNACY’s live performances are mesmerizing — as proven at festivals such as Męskie Granie, Next Fest, and Letnie Brzmienia.
In autumn 2023, he released his debut album “Central Park”, earning two Fryderyk 2024 nominations: Pop Album of the Year and Phonographic Debut of the Year. The album achieved gold record status.
His latest album, “Limbo,” is a musical journey inspired by a state of suspension — being detached from reality and transported to a place where unexplainable things happen. Limbo exists on the border between dream and wakefulness, where the listener floats in a world of mystery and surrealism. IGNACY guides us through a bright and beautiful, yet simultaneously dark “non-place” — a point between dimensions that fascinates and unsettles.
The album features ten tracks blending soulful emotions with heavier synthesizer-driven sounds. This contrast reflects the duality of Limbo itself — beauty intertwined with unease. The recordings feel as if they echo from a deep abyss — voices seemingly trapped, unable to escape, shaping an album filled with unspoken emotions.
Created in collaboration with acclaimed producers lessman and Maurycy Żółtański, “Limbo” marks a bold artistic turn for IGNACY and proves that he is unafraid of creative challenges, consistently pursuing his own path of musical evolution.
Muzyczny Pawilon is a concert series dedicated to presenting compelling artists from the worlds of alternative pop, hip-hop, broadly defined urban music, and young Polish jazz. The program is curated by saxophonist and music producer Kuba Więcek, known for moving fluidly between styles and discovering connections between them. A recipient of numerous music awards — including the Paszport Polityki, Fryderyk, Onet’s Olśnienia, and Mateusz Trójki — he is a graduate of the Copenhagen Conservatory, founder of the band hoshii, and has released three original albums in the prestigious Polish Jazz series. The American magazine DownBeat lists him among the musicians who may influence the future sound of jazz. He is also the composer of the original score for Krzysztof Skonieczny’s film “Wrooklyn Zoo.”
Concerts take place in the Pawilon space on the first floor of Hala Koszyki, always on Sundays, twice a month.
