Evening with kizomba | dance lesson
We invite everyone to Africa, specifically to Angola, where the beautiful and sensual kizomba is danced. Karolina and Łukasz, also known as the Vamula team, will guide you through the beauty of this modern social dance from Angola, which is taking the world by storm while continuing to flourish in the major cities of Angola, such as Luanda, Benguela, and Malanje.
Kizomba is a “daughter” of semba, but it stands out with its close connection between partners and unique character, which has made it beloved worldwide. As Vamula emphasizes dancing in its “original” form, respecting the culture and music of the countries it originates from, you can expect the authentic kizomba character from Angola.

Karolina and Łukasz, known as VAMULA, have been dancing together since 2008. Before they started exploring the styles they now teach, Łukasz trained in ballroom dancing, while Karolina specialized in samba.
Their journey with kizomba began in 2009 in Warsaw, at the first school in Poland teaching this dance, Montuno Aye, and through lessons with world-class professors.
The key figures in their dance development were Paulo Cruz & Lanna Zamora, Bonifácio Mario Aurio, Gregorio Pires, Dúnia Pacheco, and the group Os Tukina. In 2014, 2015, and 2018, they deepened their musical and dance knowledge in Cape Verde and Angola. For several years, they have been official “Angolan Ambassadors,” part of an organization uniting kizomba promoters and teachers worldwide under the “Angolan Dances” initiative.
In 2014, they made it to the finals of the “Áfricadançar – 7th Edition Kizomba International Championship” in Milan, becoming the first couple in the history of Polish kizomba to achieve this. They placed 8th in the world.
Currently, they teach regular kizomba and semba courses in Warsaw, along with numerous workshops across the country and abroad. They have performed at kizomba festivals in over 10 countries, including Cape Verde, Portugal, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania.
Vamula is a project born from a “passion for dance” created by people who understand it, love it, and want to share their best with others. Vamula focuses on dancing in its original form, respecting the culture and music of the countries where it originates.
