Ania Szlagowska | Muzyczny Pawilon 2.0

This is a name worth remembering! Ania Szlagowska is coming to Muzyczny Pawilon — and she’s set to captivate the audience with her energy.

An artist with charisma straight from Nowy Sącz. Since the age of fourteen, her favorite thing to do has been writing songs. Her music can be described as pop infused with elements of jazz and folk. She comes from the mountains but loves the sea. She loves performing live (and traveling by train).

Live music quality is essential to her, which is why she formed her band with acclaimed musicians who inspire her: Miłosz Oleniecki (P.Unity), Adam Świerczyński (Rosalie., Sarsa, Beata Kozidrak), and Oskar Augustyn (AWGS, Miętha). Together, they have performed on stages such as Męskie Granie, NEXT FEST, Letnie Brzmienia, Great September, Enea Edison Festival, OFF Festival, and ZORZA.

On October 17, 2024, she released her long-awaited debut album, “Pierwsza Płyta” (“The First Album”), whose CD edition sold out within weeks. The album was created in collaboration with some of Poland’s most talented producers: Mariusz Obijalski (sanah, Margaret), Kuba Więcek (Paulina Przybysz, Ten Typ Mes), Dawid Płonka (Dominika Płonka), ciiicho (Kajetan Wolas), and Kuba Karaś (Karaś/Rogucki, The Dumplings), who also contributed vocals.

Early 2025 brought Ania a Fryderyk Award nomination in the Phonographic Debut of the Year category, as well as a semi-final spot in Must Be The Music. She visited five Polish cities during her first headline tour, Pierwsza Płyta Na Żywo Tour, which proved such a success that she soon announced another autumn run — CIESZĘ SIĘ TOUR. The eight-city tour, stretching from the Baltic Sea to the Pieniny Mountains, gathered over a thousand attendees and resulted in three sold-out shows.

Muzyczny Pawilon is a concert series dedicated to showcasing compelling artists from the worlds of alternative pop, hip-hop, urban music, and young Polish jazz. The program is curated by saxophonist and producer Kuba Więcek, known for moving fluidly between styles and finding connections between them.

A recipient of numerous music awards — including the Paszport Polityki, Fryderyk, Olśnienia Onetu, and Mateusz Trójki — he is a graduate of the Copenhagen Conservatory, founder of the band hoshii, and the author of three original albums released in the prestigious Polish Jazz series. The American magazine DownBeat lists him among the musicians who may shape the future sound of jazz. He also composed the original score for Krzysztof Skonieczny’s film “Wrooklyn Zoo.”

Concerts take place in the Pawilon space on the first floor of Hala Koszyki, always on Sundays, twice a month.
