Klasyka na Koszykach cycle of concerts

Klasyka na Koszykach is one of the most unique cycle of events on Warsaw’s cultural map. It is the first in Poland to feature a regular series of free concerts of classical music in commercial space – and it has taken place in Hala Koszyki in Warsaw since its inception, in 2017. The artists who perform bring the audience closer to the world of classical music, helping to generate growing interest in this genre. So far, more than 120 ‘Classic’ performances have been held and viewed by more than 50,000 people. The project could not even be halted by the pandemic – in November 2020, the concerts were broadcast online, but the beautiful interiors of Hala Koszyki turned out, as always, to be the perfect setting. In 2019, the project was nominated for the Warsaw Cultural Education Award, and in 2020 was nominated for the Polish Council of Shopping Centres’ Retail Awards in the best shopping centre CSR activities and strategy category. Since the 3rd Klasyka na Koszykach, the Polish National Philharmonic has been the honorary partner of the series. The patron of the project is Symphar.
